We stop here when we are in town & hungry for a taco & beer. The street tacos are delicious & ingredients very fresh. I had a chicken & Al Pastor taco. Yum. They have good choice of Mexican beers. Staff was friendly. Food came out hot. Lot of locals eat here, so that speaks for itself.

"EVERYBODY shake it!!!!
Time to be free amongst yourselves,
Your Mama told you to be discreet
And keep your freak to yourself!
Butcha' Mama lied to you all 'dis time
She knows as well as you and I
You've got to express what is taboo in you!
And share your freak with the rest of us,
Cause it's a beautiful thing
A beautiful thang......A BEAUTIFUL THANG...
This is my SEXUAL REVOLUTION ....
SEXUAL REVOLUTION ...."

Ayyyyyyyyy!
Leave it to Macy Gray to drop lyrics this satirically salacious. Oddly enough, the Showtime movie I was just engaged within somehow just became soft porn.
Uhm.....? Random, much?
When it comes to El Revolucionario, guys - while I hate to rain on anyone's parade, this "riot" of an experience was blatant "anarchy" and an EPIC FAIL of a revolution.
¤ One sale short of being Macy "great", it saddens me to compose this review but it simply MUST be done.
Sorry,....not sorry.
"Selling out" from the corner of a Cathedral City strip mall, I thought I'd stumbled upon a "ruby" within the rough or at bare minimum found my "sugar daddy" upon finishing laundry and foraging out for comestibles.
We very well know that a woman's work is NEVER done. Well... a pristine house doesn't exactly clean itself!, but it does rustle up a rumble in the jungle!!!
HeLLLo.
Open for lunch, I braved the trek in and while my "nutmeg phantasy" wasn't necessarily having Mexican food 2 days in a row, the dirt cheap prices TRULY brought out the "sex-o-matic venus freak" in me!

Let's just pause briefly to reflect on Macy Gray's song list.
Haha.
What in the world is up with these titles, gurrr'l??? You're making this review a little too easy!
She clearly needs "Jesus for a day" but I'm driven to deduce that before composing, Miss Gray "smokes 2 joints"!
From $1.50 tacos, a salsa bar (where they actually distribute the salsa cups to patrons for some bizarre reason) and $5.00 nachos ($2-3.00 mas with protein) one would THINK I'd conquered my hunger "demons" and had the "time of my life".
(......sighs)
Not quite the case.
¤ Are you in search of what appears to be the worse Mexican food within Cathedral City?
Well, I've gotchu' "covered".
Having ordered said nachos; requesting half asada and half pollo, I added a 32 oz container of salsa ($5.99), 2 bags of chips ($1.00/a piece), a side of Zanahorias en escabeche (pickled onions, jalapenos and carrots)($1.00 as well)....
ANDDDDD.....
"Sweet baby"!!!, if this wasn't all one big Mexican mess!!!
A hot Jaliscan one...
After 2 hours confabulating with the commode, one would think I'd "committed murder", but I find 2 stars EXTREMELY GENEROUS as customer service was well..... well enough!
Perhaps it's best visitors order in Espanol but there's NOTHING like issuing indigestion with a smile and a receipt.
Where tuh' start?
Where tuh' start???
Y'all, deez' here nachos were honestly so morbidly repulsive (see pictures) that they'd easily make 7-11 look like Ruth Chris's Steakhouse!
Excessively thick chips drenched in Costco cheese, jalapenos and protein bearing a taste so flaccid it'd make you want to bitch slap the frikkin' cow!
(no animals were harmed within the composition of this review)
"I tried to walk away anddddd I CHOKED".....
....but the price that I spent, while inexpensive, is what TRULY made me stumble!!!
NOTHING........bear the least bit of flavor and after 4-5 bites I concluded mi basura (the trash bin) to be a better suited final resting place than the walls of my belly.
Take my word for it Yelp, $1.50 for tacos is A DOLLAR FIDDY' TOO DARNED MUCH and while sure, they're open late; likely to appease the palettes of bar hopping, local desert vampires prior to sunrise, FAILURE TO ADHERE could have you up even later whilst entertaining the toilet!
It's a sad, sad day when the pickled peppers are the highlight of your meal .
"Shoo be do"......
This all stated, visiting post my review is COMPLETELY on YOU- -

We ordered sopes with beans and rice, and a quesadilla for $22. The Chile relleno was good and very cheesy. The sopes were ok. They were hella thick and the bean and meat which were birria and chicken weren't the flavor I expected. The red salsa had to be out of a mild jar for sure not homemade. The servers and cooks were very friendly and welcoming but the main dish was lacking.

I go to Tony's burgers, 2 doors over, all the time.
Deciding to branch out a little, I headed to El Revolucionario.
I won't likely return.
It was a pretty hot day, about 112, when I walked in. It was not quite 112, but over 100 inside the restaurant. I get it. Restaurants are cooking, so it is going to be warmer and having the AC compensate is not always possible.
A nice young man took my order. i asked for 3 carne asada tacos, a medium order of beans, and a large soda. I paid. He gives me a cup. "Is this the large cup?"
He looks at the receipt, "Oh, I did charge you for a large." He exchanges the regular cup for a large. I'm given a stack of napkins, two little cups for salsa, and a number to take to my table.
There were several people inside, which is a good sign. However, the TV was showing some dubbed martial arts movie, at a high volume. Some claw toy machine was also making a little noise. People were having loud conversations to compensate. I'm glad no one turned on the jukebox!
A lady brings over my 3 tacos and then disappeared. I waited to see if she came back with my beans. Nope.
I take my receipt up to the front. She's there taking a complicated order from two ladies. I stepped in, after they ordered, to tell her that I never got my beans. She looked at me. I gave her the receipt. She yelled to the young man, now in the back. She didn't apologize or even make eye contact.
I sit down. I'm brought a plate with some beans on it. Now, if I am paying $3.95 for a medium sized order of beans, a disposable plate with a two spoonfuls of beans is not medium. Behind the counter, they have the containers with the sizes, on display. I didn't get what I paid for. I wasn't going to complain. I got the impression that they just didn't care. The beans needed salt, though, they had a good texture because of the manteca or whatever fat they used to cook them in.
I would have given one star, but the carne asada was actually pretty darn tasty.
Could it be that I went on a bad day? Of course, it is possible. I don't, however, think that is the way to win customers. Its too bad. I have been looking for a good, consistent taqueria here. -

First of all I must say where are all these 4 and 5 stars coming from?? All the people who like to eat out at 3am in the weekends. FYI Tacos Poblanos has amazing tacos.
A friend and I went for lunch. Honestly I wanted to take the food back up to the counter and ask for a refund. They over charged us by $10. When the food was served it was not even hot. I asked for a knife and fork of each of us and the girl only brought one set. But most importantly the food was awful. No flavor whatsoever! The salsa had a funky taste and we had to put so much salt on the food. I will never be returning to this place.
On a good note we were really laughing on the way home about how we just had the worst Mexican food the Valley had to offer. So thank you so much for the belly laughs.
